A Virtual "Cab-ride" along the Weymouth Quay line.

Take a trip along the Weymouth Quay branch in Dorset - and see the line as a train driver would see it (assuming his cab was only 5 feet above the ground!).

The line is unique for Railtrack in running for the majority of its length along public roads. Apart from occasional special trains, the line is now disused, but originally carried boat trains to and from the ferry terminal at Weymouth Quay. The route is shown on the map, picked out in red.
